WoW Leveling
One of the newest and highest grossing industries is the videogaming industry. The most prominent companies are those who create the platforms that house the games. However more importantly are the gaming companies who create and sell the games for the different platforms. The biggest platform to date is the PC, and one of the biggest players is the company called Blizzard-activision. The biggest game out currently is made by Blizzard.
The biggest potential for revenue and market is in the form of a game called an MMORPG, or massively multiplayer online role-playing game. These games are massive in of themselves, sometimes housing thousands of players at once online in fierce battles across the globe. The in game territory can be thousands of square miles and the land is teeming with exotic animals and non-generic plantlife. These games have the biggest potential for gameplay value, replay value, market, and revenue.
World of Warcraft is one of the most successful videogames in existence today and in history. Commonly referred to as WoW, this game has over 10,000,000 subscribers monthly, and Blizzard stands to make almost 150 million dollars in revenue each month! You have to wonder then, why is it that other companies do not produce similar games and reap in the monthly subscriptions? It all comes down to, level grinding.
This level grinding is essential to the enjoyment of a person who plays any MMORPG. If you cannot spend hours a day doing this leveling, the game will fail as it relies on people spending a lot of time invested in the game to make up for the fact it has a monthly subscription. Blizzard has taken steps to make this painstaking process as simple and easy a process for anyone to perform for hours on end. Some choose to use guides or hire services to level their characters for them in return for real money.
Leveling yourself is a daunting task, as you feel it will take forever to get to the higher levels, 60+. However with the newest patches wow has become a very easy game to level in, mentally speaking. There are a constant stream of relatively easy to do quests and tasks to perform that will give you experience and gold and sometimes rare items.
The two routes you may go when you decide you want some assistance in leveling involve either a guide or a service. While the service is the quickest and most sure way, it has the highest price tag. Guides however come at a relatively low price and while they do demand time, it is about the same amount of time as a service and you get the personal enjoyment of playing through the levels of the game. After all, it only takes a few weeks to get to 80, maybe one week if you are really good. Wow leveling guides were created to simplify the leveling process for the average newbie.
Of course you can always go the route of the hardcore player, playing endlessly for hours with no guide, but once you hit the higher levels you’ll realize what you were missing all this time.
