Is A Netbook Right For You?

What is a Netbook? A Netbook is a small, wireless laptop that is designed to be used to stay connected to the Internet while on the go.

The Netbooks can be used for most any kind of research on the internet and to stay connected. You can place bids on Ebay, talk in the forums or just look up information. What they are not good for is putting information on the web.

Most offer full screen viewing with super-bright LCD screens that provide you with a crisp, clean picture. The battery life varies depending on the model but some offer Ultra Long battery life that enables you to surf the web for up to 8 hours on a single charge.

The fact the Netbooks are light weight makes it perfect for when you travel for business or for just lounging at home. Some weigh as little as 2 lbs.

They have a large storage capacity so you can save any data that you want to when you are surfing the web. The keyboards are full size and easy to use so as not to slow you down.

I found that the Netbook is the perfect alternative for my teenage son. He can look up what he needs to when he is doing his homework and chat with his friends when he’s not and I can still get on my computer when I need to. I was even able to buy one for under $450.

That’s what I call a win-win situation. He was happy and I was happy. The average laptop is $700+ which I feel is a lot of money especially when you are handing it over to a kid.

A netbook is a great thing if you do not plan on making charts and you don’t need data software. For my work I will stick with a laptop but for my son to get on the Internet and play, he gets the netbook.
